Message You can hear the fuel pump if you turn the key to start without pushing in the clutch. Regardless of that, the fuel pressure should not be bleeding off to zero very shortly after shutting off the engine and that is the question. The system should hold pressure for quite a while. That is why one must bleed off the pressure before disconnecting a fuel line.
